Vo5 do a hot oil thing which is quite good - but a good conditioner slapped on and left overnight is better. Your hair will be very very floppy in the morning though.

I think it largely depends on the type of hair you have. I am biracial and have in between frizzy, curly hair. I use Dove shampoo and conditioners two - three times a week and a deeper conditioner once a week. The Deep condittioner is not fancy at all, it's called Cholesterol (it has an olive oil mix), but its wonderful. Great for all types of hair.

The thing about hair treatments is that they must be used in collaboration with improved hair care habits. If you have more coarse, curly, or simply drier hair, look into moving away from everyday washing as they can dry the hair and not give adequate time for scalp oils to work their way to the tips and result in dryness.

Also, most conditioners used with a heating cap, a plastic cap, and for a few minutes (depending upon product type) are great.

Checking in with a good/trusted stylist is always a good idea as well.

Good luck!

Mixed Chicks (http://www.mixedchicks.co.uk/ee/index.ph... deep conditioner is great. If you have curls it will help you get that Mixed Chicks look, but even if you have straight or kinky, the deep conditioner is a great thing. Just apply and leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse. For addes moisture, ad Mixed Chicks leave-in to hair when wet then air dry. You don't have to blow. Good luck
