In most sci-fi universes, laser treatment is an ancient and obverse form of torture that does quite a bit more than remove hair from your legs. Darth Vader would have been glad to laser treat your legs for cheap as free (unless you count the irreparable damage done to your body). i have never done the laser stuff, but i have gone to a salon for waxing, which isn't horribly costly and works pretty good.
