Japanese Hair treatment?

I'm black and but i don't have coarse thick hair as must black people do. I'm 1/4 indian, and I have a mixture between the two. I can straighten my hair or wear it in very tight corkscrew curls. It's not very thick, and I was wondering what exactly would happen to my hair if I were to use the japanese hair treatment?
