Late hair loss (cancer): Is it normal for hair to fall out two months after treatment has ended?

My friend was treated for anal cancer from June - July with radiation and chemo (and is currently cancer free--yeah!). Her hair started to thin at that time, but only slightly. Now (mid October) her hair is falling out in clumps. Is it normal for the hair to fall out this late after treatment?

Usually the chemotherapy makes your hair fall out in clumps so it probably is late, and I've seen people being treated with chemotherapy who still have all their hair still. Maybe you should tell your friend to ask her doctor (or doctors) if it's normal. I'm pretty sure it is, but ask anyways to make sure.
